'Survival in history' is a new television series in which the participants enter into a game of survival.
Each episode is set in a specific historical period, in which the men of the time proved beyond a doubt, mans extraordinary power to survive.
Our protagonists, the history survivors, are selected from a group of historical re-enactors specializing in that era. Participants range from a single re-enactor to friends or even a whole family. However, they all share the same aim, to successfully re-enact the events and situations of the past.
As only within their costumes can they begin to fully understand the past. The history survivors have to survive by the same means and in the same extreme conditions as those before.
Thanks to the team of historians and experienced re-enactors it is possible to recreate and fully experience some unique events from the past, not only the battles and tragic moments, but also the human aspects of this period.
Interviews with the historians will enable the audience to better understand the context within which our history survivors find themselves, and their struggle for survival.

With 'Survival in History' the struggle for survival is the story of the men who came before!

FIRST EPISODE:
'Survival in History – World War I' is the first episode in this amazing television series and presents events from the First World War.
The history survivors are two re-enactors specializing in World War I ,and both are eager to relive, in the same extreme conditions, the brave efforts of real WWI soldiers.
"Survival in History – World War I" is set on the Italian- Austrian front, amidst the Alps in the Dolomites.
This hostile environment meant not only extreme living conditions for the soldiers, but a change in the very nature of their warfare. The battles they fought were truly unique with numerous enemies, even nature itself.
Will our history survivors be able to survive in such extreme conditions? Will they be able to overcome the trials that they will have to undergo?
Can they really commemorate the struggle of the First World War soldiers? Survival in History – bringing history back to life!
